Nanfizat Abiket Alamukii is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Molecular Bioscience and Medical Genomics as well as an Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Biological Sciences, University of Medical Sciences, Ondo, Nigeria. She is a first Class (Hon) graduate and a PhD Fellow of the Consortium for Advanced Research Training in Africa (CARTA) with a Master’s degree (Distinction) in Zoology (Cell biology and Genetics), University of Ibadan. She served as a Teaching Assistant at the Department of Zoology, University of Ibadan for 7 years. She obtained a genomics training in bioinformatics from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. Her area of research focus is on genomics of breast cancer and other non-communicable diseases. She is a recipient of many awards and has won several international travel grants, one of which was to present her research works at the prestigious Keystone Symposium.
